Colombo, April 30 -- The Welipenna Police have arrested five suspects in connection with the alleged abduction and gang rape of a 45-year-old woman inside a three-wheeler and a house.

According to the victim's complaint, the abduction occurred around on Monday after she got off from a bus at the 05th Post junction in Galmatta town around 8:50 PM.

Three men in a three-wheeler forcibly took her inside the three-wheelr and raped her.

She further said that the suspects then took her to a house, where they contacted two others by phone.

The two men later arrived on a motorcycle and also sexually assaulted her. The victim told the police that she had identified four of the suspects.
