Colombo, Nov. 2 -- A fire broke out at a tyre manufacturing factory in the Horagasmulla area, Divulapitiya, earlier today.

According to the Gampaha Fire Brigade, three fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control after several hours of effort.

Several vehicles and pieces of equipment inside the factory were destroyed in the incident, though no casualties have been reported so far.
