Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Following a complaint received by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), a warehouse in Negombo was raided, where a stock of canned fish intended for market distribution was found to be misleadingly labeled with the name and standard logo of a manufacturing company.

The warehouse is located in the Dungalpitiya area of Talahena, Negombo.

CAA investigations revealed that the canned fish had been produced and packaged in unsanitary and irregular conditions, using a falsified standard certificate and the name of a manufacturing company certified by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
