Sri Lanka, June 17 -- The Energy Ministry has denied social media reports claiming that the country may face a shortage of fuel due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East.

Issuing a statement, the Ministry said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) currently holds sufficient oil stocks to meet the country's needs for the next two months. It further assured that arrangements have already been made to receive the ordered petroleum shipments without any disruptions.

The Ministry urged the public not to be misled by such false and misleading news circulating on social media.
