Sri Lanka, May 30 -- With the prevailing inclement weather conditions sweeping across the country, the number of local electricity breakdowns has seen a noticeable increase, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.
The CEB said that heavy rains, strong winds, and lightning experienced last evening contributed to disruptions in the power supply across several areas.
As a result, the CEB has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any power outages or electrical faults promptly.
