Sri Lanka, May 23 -- The Education Ministry is looking to adopt blended learning as an interim solution to the shortage of teachers, Education Minister and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya said today.
She told Parliament that it takes at least three years to create a teacher and that an interim solution is needed until such time.
"It takes at least tree years to create teachers to fill the exisiting vacancies. We hope to use technology and introduce blended learning as an interim solution to the teacher shortage," she said this while responding to a question by SJB MP S.M. Marikkar.
