Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- Recently, I had an unforgettable experience (on my way home!) at a leading supermarket close to my residence, which I believe is worth sharing for the benefit of other customers.
After purchasing a packet of powdered milk, biscuits, watermelon, plantains, and a few other items, I handed the cashier a Rs. 5,000 note. He returned the balance of around Rs. 2,000, which I failed to check properly at the time. To my surprise, instead of handing me the receipt, he casually tossed it under his table. It was only when I specifically asked for the receipt that he gave it to me.
