Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- A 32-year-old female doctor who fell from a private bus in Pelmadulla on August 19 has died after being treated for 14 days at the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. P. Madara Maadushani, a resident of Ratnapura.
It was reported that the incident occurred while she was returning from duty, travelling in a private bus along the Batticaloa-Colombo main road.
The bus reportedly braked suddenly near the Pelmadulla Police Station after a three-wheeler crossed the road unexpectedly, causing the doctor to fall from the bus.
She was seriously injured and admitted to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
