Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- Dharmaraja College became champions of the All-Island Under-16 Schools Badminton Championship when they defeated St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa, in the final.

The tournament, which featured three singles and two doubles matches, ended with Dharmaraja securing a decisive 3-1 victory in the final while St. Sebastian's finished as runners-up.

The Rajans were coached by Chinthaka Bandara.

According to the authorities at Dharmaraja College, the school is set to mark a turning point in the sport of badminton with the Rajans more famous in cricket and rugby.
