Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinge engaged in a heated argument with Opposition MP Chaminda Wijesiri in Parliament today while accusing each other of allegations.

MP Wijesiri accused Deputy Minister Jayasinge and his party the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) of backing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa during the 2005 Presidential election.

"These Deputy Ministers should change their attitudes," the MP said.

Deputy Minister Jayasinge, who responded, said no one wants advice from those who sold their MPs' post for money.

The argument heated up at this point with the exchange of abusive words.
