Srilanka, Feb. 3 -- Deputy Minister of Fisheries Ratna Gamage who visited the Mirissa Fisheries Harbor was verbally confronted by the fishermen who demanded a fair price for fuel.

"The government has already promised to supply fuel at Rs.100 a liter and we want the prices reduced accordingly. We have been holding protests from last year but our demand is still to be met," the fishermen were heard saying.

The fishermen said they are unable to carry out their livelihood due to the high price of fuel. The Deputy Minister did not reply to the fishermen
