Sri Lanka, June 6 -- The Ministry of Defence has rejected recent allegations made in Parliament by MP Ramanathan Archuna, who claimed that a cache of weapons once belonging to former LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was smuggled into the country via containers released by Customs.

Defence Secretary, Retired Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyyakontha, dismissed the accusation as "completely baseless and false," asserting that there is no evidence to support such claims.
