Sri Lanka, Nov. 30 -- The death toll from the severe weather conditions affecting the country has surpassed 200, rising to 212, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reported today.
The DMC said that 218 people remain missing as rescue and relief operations continue across several hard-hit districts.
The Badulla District has recorded the highest number of fatalities, with 71 deaths confirmed so far.
Furthermore, over one million people have been affected by the adverse weather conditions.
