Sri Lanka, Dec. 3 -- The Disaster Management Center (DMC) has reported that the death toll from the recent adverse weather conditions in Sri Lanka has risen to 474. As of 10 a.m. today (03), 356 people remain missing.Sri Lanka travel guide

A total of 1,586,329 people from 448,817 families have been affected by the floods, landslides, and strong winds.

Kandy district has reported the highest number of deaths at 118, followed by Nuwara Eliya (89), Badulla (83), Kurunegala (53), Kegalle and Puttalam (29 each), and Matale (28).

The number of missing persons includes 171 from Kandy, 73 from Nuwara Eliya, 43 from Kegalle, 28 from Badulla, and 27 from Kurunegala.
