Colombo, March 5 -- SJB MP Dayasiri Jayasekara today tendered an apology to NPP Member of Parliament Sugath Wasantha de Silva and all differently abled persons if they felt insulted through his recent comment.

"I did not mean to insult MP De Silva or differently abled people. I mentioned about the MP and differently abled people to oppose the move by the authorities to provoke people. I have already had a dialogue with MP de Silva and explained my position," Jayasekara said.

"MP De Silva was my batch mate in university and he used to enjoy my vocal skills," he added.
