Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- Sri Lanka Cricket's newly appointed Selection Committee Chairman, Pramodya Wickremesinghe said today (19) that Dasun Shanaka will continue as captain of the Sri Lankan national team until the 2026 ICC Twenty20 World Cup.
He made this statement during a media briefing held at the Sri Lanka Cricket following the appointment of the new selection committee.
Wickremesinghe said the previous selection committee had already named a 25-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup preparations, and the new committee has decided not to make any changes to that squad.
Accordingly, Dasun Shanaka will continue to lead the Sri Lankan side in the forthcoming T20 series against Pakistan and England.
