Sri Lanka, July 17 -- A 23-year-old Danish woman was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on Tuesday night (16) while attempting to smuggle a consignment of the narcotic drug 'Kush' valued at Rs. 57 million.

The suspect was apprehended by officers of the Customs Narcotics Division as she tried to exit the airport through the Green Channel without making any declaration. Upon inspection, officials discovered 25 airtight packets of a product labeled "Snak" concealed in her suitcase. The packets contained a total of 5.7 kilograms of the drug.
