Sri Lanka, April 21 -- The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) opened the new week on a measured note as indices posted mild losses amid global uncertainty and cautious investor sentiment. Despite the slight pullback, the session reflected healthy underlying participation and sector-specific interest.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed at 15,599.61, down 16.96 points or 0.11 percent, while the S&P SL20 Index edged lower by 3.02 points or 0.07 percent to end at 4,621.22. The ASPI saw a strong start, briefly surpassing the 15,700 mark in early trading, before easing as the day progressed on profit-taking and lack of strong directional cues.
