Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- The Gampaha Magistrate's Court (Court No. 02) today ordered that the political office currently occupied by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and claimed by the Frontline Socialist Party (FLSP) be vacated and handed over to the police until the dispute is settled.
Magistrate Dhammika Uduwevidana issued the order this afternoon, directing that the building remain under police custody pending further legal proceedings.
A heated dispute erupted on September 3 between the JVP and the FLSP over the alleged takeover of a party office in Yakkala, with both parties offering conflicting claims regarding ownership and political intent.
