Srilanka, Feb. 6 -- A commotion broke out in Parliament after the ruling party accused the Opposition of using unparliamentary language during the sessions today.
The commotion broke out when Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake objected to a remark by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Deputy Speaker Rizvy Salih.
"Obathuma paninne nethuwa inna (don't jump the gun)," Premadasa said.
"The Opposition Leader should take back what he said or tender an apology to the Deputy Speaker," Ratnayake said.
MP Ramanathan Archchuna who joined in the crosstalk questioned whether the word "bugger" used by MP Dayasiri Jayasekara is going to be expunged.
