Colombo, Sept. 23 -- The Colombo Lotus Tower plans to launch a bungee jumping programme by next year, Chairman Shirantha Pieris announced today.

Addressing the media, he said the programme will be introduced with maximum safety measures to ensure the protection of participants.

He also recalled the tragic incident of October 7, 2024, in which a young student lost her life, describing it as a moment of deep sorrow for the Tower and the entire nation. "While the Tower has always maintained international safety standards, the new management acted swiftly to strengthen safeguards further," Pieris said.
