Sri Lanka, Dec. 31 -- The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG), with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, has seized illegal narcotics valued at over Rs. 370 million and arrested 71 suspects during anti-drug operations carried out in 2025.

The operations were conducted in close coordination with the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Police, Police Narcotics Bureau, State Intelligence Service, and the Police Special Task Force, through continuous intelligence sharing and joint enforcement action.

As a result, significant quantities of illegal substances were seized, including over 5 kilograms of ICE (crystal methamphetamine), more than 710 kilograms of Kerala cannabis, over 205 kilograms of locally grown cannabis, more than 2 kilograms of h...
