Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has dismissed media reports claiming she joined other ex-presidents in challenging the repeal of the Presidents' Entitlements Act.

In a statement issued by her media unit, Kumaratunga said some outlets had incorrectly reported that she was among four former presidents filing a case against the repeal.

The statement stressed the reports were "completely false" and confirmed that she has not taken part in any such legal action.
