Sri Lanka, Dec. 3 -- Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has made a false statement that the Central Bank was under his purview during his tenure as Finance Minister in 2015, MP Ravi Karunanayake told Parliament today.

"The Central Bank was taken out from the purview of my Ministry for the first time in history in 2015. The statement made by the Prime Minister will create a prejudice where the impending court case is concerned," he said.
