Colombo, April 16 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) requests rooftop solar power system owners to temporarily disconnect their systems from today but only if they receive an official SMS notification from the board and also only till 3p.m on the specified day.

This measure is part of ongoing efforts to manage the national grid efficiently during periods of low electricity demand.

The CEB expresses its appreciation to solar system owners for their continued cooperation and support during the past few challenging days.
