Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) General Manager Shirley Kumara said that electricity supply to households in disaster-affected areas will not be disconnected.
He said the CEB will not suspend power over unpaid bills in these regions, adding that any outstanding amounts will be included in future billing cycles. No disconnections will be carried out during this period, he said.
Kumara said that meter reading and bill distribution have been impossible in many affected areas due to the prevailing conditions. As a result, electricity bills for these consumers will be issued in the coming months.
