Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Constitutional Council today approved Samudika Jayaratne as the new Auditor General.

An opposition member of the CC who did not wish to be named said they had to agree with Ms. Jayaratne as they had no other options.

Her name was rejected by the CC earlier.
