Sri Lanka, Oct. 29 -- The case filed against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe under the Public Property Act is scheduled to be taken up again today (29) before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.
The complaint was lodged over allegations that Wickremesinghe misused public funds to travel to London to attend a graduation ceremony of his wife, Professor Maithri Wickremesinghe, during his tenure as President.
The former President was arrested on August 22 after providing a statement to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and was subsequently remanded until August 26.
