Sri Lanka, Dec. 8 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today ordered that the case filed against former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra and 14 other suspects be recalled on March 16.

The Cinnamon Gardens Police have filed this case alleging that on 14 November 2022, the suspects staged an unlawful street drama near Independence Square, in violation of the Police Ordinance and the Thoroughfares Ordinance.

When the case was called, Police informed court that the file has been referred to the Attorney General for instructions.

When the matter was taken up today, suspect Hirunika Premachandra and the other female suspects appeared before court.

Having considered the facts, the Chief Magistrate fixed the case for March 16...
