New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- The Cabinet has approved the procurement of 120,000 vials of Human Immunoglobulin BP (5-6 grams) for intravenous use, required for the treatment of patients with immunity deficiencies.

According to the Government Information Department, international competitive bids were called for the purchase and three bids were received.

Following the recommendations of the high-level standing procurement committee, the Cabinet granted approval to award the contract to Reliance Life Sciences (Pvt.) Ltd. of India, which submitted the lowest substantively responsive bid.

The contract is valued at USD 10.506 million.
