Sri Lanka, Jan. 9 -- Following a landmark year in consumer education, the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced plans to further strengthen and expand its awareness programs in 2026, targeting the general public, schoolchildren, and the business community.

In 2025, the Authority conducted a record 1,540 consumer awareness programs, the highest number ever achieved in a single year. Through these initiatives, CAA officers directly reached more than 120,000 people across all districts of Sri Lanka, educating them on consumer rights, fair trade practices, and market regulations.
