Colombo, April 15 -- The Keselwatta Police have launched an investigation after a 12-year-old boy, who was forcibly locked inside a two-storey house, jumped out of a window and sustained serious injuries.
The child, along with two other neighbourhood children, had gone to a nearby shop when he reportedly knocked on the gate of a three-storey house nearby.
A resident of the house forcibly took the child inside and locked him in a room on the second floor.
The child is currently receiving treatment at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.
Police said a 59-year-old man who assisted in the incident has been arrested, while the home owner has fled.
