Sri Lanka, April 11 -- The Board of Investment (BOI) invited all top 50 exporters in key industries to open dialogue to seek alternative strategies to mitigate the consequences due to the new US tariff imposed on Sri Lanka.

Senior Advisor to the President Duminda Hulnagamuwa also participated and explained what government initiatives have been taken so far to achieve positive outcomes and stage the negotiations.

The diplomatic-level discussion has already taken place, and our diplomatic officers in Washington DC, have already established communication with the respective trade delegates at the White House's trade department.

Almost 70 countries have already reached out to the US to seek individual consultations from the US government...
