Sri Lanka, Feb. 10 -- Parliament is to debate the Bill titled "the Second Reading of the Parliamentary Pensions (Repeal) Bill" which seeks to repeal the pension of Members of Parliament, next week.

The debate will take place from 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 pm on February 17, 2026.

Parliament is scheduled to meet from February 17 to February 20, 2026, as decided by the Committee on Parliamentary Business held recently under the chairmanship of Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

Three Orders under the Special Commodity Levy Act, the Resolution under the Customs Ordinance (Chapter 235) published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 2464/15, and two Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act (Chapter 203) are scheduled to be taken up for debate and approval on We...
