Sri Lanka, June 21 -- Three people were killed and 26 others injured in a tragic bus accident that occurred today near Dunhinda, on the Badulla road.
The bus, which was reportedly transporting a group on a private excursion, veered off the road and toppled down a steep precipice in the 4th Mile Post area, close to the Dunhinda bends a stretch known for its sharp curves and narrow roadway.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured passengers were admitted to the Badulla General Hospital for treatment. The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
