Sri Lanka, June 3 -- Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) last night (June 2) for a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka.

He was accompanied by a 15-member delegation, arriving at 11:40 p.m. on a special flight ASY-307, operated by the Australian Defence Ministry.

The visiting delegation was warmly welcomed at the Special Guests' Lounge at BIA by Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy Minister Sunil Watagala, along with a group of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
