Srilanka, Nov. 29 -- Operations are underway to rescue 300 Buddhist monks stranded at the Anuradhapura Bikkhu University, Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe said today.

He said operations are underway to rescue people who are stranded on roofs in a number of houses.
