Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- In the wake of the shooting incident in the Hulfsdorp Court complex, Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakkara said today that steps will be taken to deploy armed guards inside the courts when special accused are produced before courts.

He told Parliament that armed security personnel are not allowed inside courts now.

The Minister said steps will be taken to deploy armed guards inside courts in special circumstances when special prisoners were produced before courts, following a discussion with the Judicial Services Commission, police and the Prisons Department.
