Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- A delay in appointing 50,000 graduates to permanent posts was highlighted at a discussion headed with the Minister of State Administration, Internal Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government Janaka Bandara Tennakoon.These graduates had been recruited to the public service due to the shortage of staff.

This information had been revealed by Trade Union Representative to the Minister at a meeting held on assumption of his duties at the Ministry.
