Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Anusha Palpita, former Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over the alleged unlawful acquisition of assets worth nearly Rs. 46 million, was ordered to be further remanded till February 20 by Colombo Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.
After considering the submissions made by officers of the Bribery Commission and the suspect's legal counsel, the Magistrate stated that the suspect had failed to cooperate with the investigation from its initial stages.
