Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- All systems of the Ampara District Office of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) were brought online today (20), marking a major step in modernizing public services.

The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Bimal Ratnayake at the Ampara District Secretariat.

The technical implementation was carried out by South Asian Technologies and Softlogic Information Technologies, which also undertook the maintenance of the system. Officials noted that bringing the Ampara branch online in such a short period was a significant achievement that would ensure more convenient and efficient services for the public.
