Colombo, March 3 -- A good level of air quality was recorded in most cities, while a moderate level was observed in Jaffna, Kurunegala, Galle, and Puttalam, the Vehicular Emission Test Trust Fund of the Department of Motor Traffic said.

They said that air quality levels were forecast to range between 26 and 56 throughout the day, indicating good air quality in most cities, with moderate levels recorded in Jaffna, Galle, Puttalam, and Badulla.

The highest air pollution levels were recorded between 7:30 - 8:30 AM and 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

Comparatively, air quality in most cities across the country is expected to remain at a good level over the next 24 hours.
