Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot to make vocational education information more accessible to students.

The new digital service is part of the '1966' Vocational Education Hotline, which was launched yesterday (06) at the Nipunatha Piyasa premises in Narahenpita under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.

The AI chatbot, developed by the Ministry's technical officers, enables users to find answers to questions related to vocational training and career guidance in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.
