Colombo, July 5 -- The Education Ministry has issued the official circular regarding the admission of children to Grade 1 in government schools for the year 2026.

The newspaper advertisement regarding Grade 1 admissions was published in government newspapers yesterday (July 4).

Parents and guardians seeking to enroll their children in Grade 1 are advised to refer to Circular No. 25/2025, which outlines the admission guidelines, eligibility criteria, and required documentation.
