Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- A total of 971 suspects were arrested during 987 drug raids conducted across the country yesterday (30) as part of the national anti-narcotics operation 'Ratama Ekata', police said.

Authorities reported that 735 grams of heroin were seized from 351 raids, while 2.4 kilograms of methamphetamine ('Ice') were recovered from 330 operations.

In addition, 603 grams of cannabis and 97,283 cannabis plants were confiscated during 227 raids.
