Srilanka, Nov. 29 -- Eleven residents of an elderly care home in Nalawalana, Pannala, have died after sudden flooding swept through the facility, police said.

According to police, 14 others were rescued during the incident. A total of 25 elders had been residing at the home at the time of the flood.
