Srilanka, June 22 -- Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa called on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to provide a clear and accurate breakdown of the foreign direct investments (FDIs) received and those still pending, accusing the government of creating confusion over the actual figures.
In a post shared on X, Rajapaksa criticized the conflicting statements made by the President and senior Ministers.
"There seems to be utter confusion in President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's administration. While the President initially stated that his government had attracted USD 96 million in FDI in Q1 2025, his Minister, Sunil Handunnetti, claimed the figure was USD 650 million," he said.
