According to a Salesforce spokesperson, Franklin will lead the company's developer initiatives. She will bring a "combination of technical expertise and creativity to the CMO role. According to Salesforce's website, Franklin has also focused on making careers in science and technology more accessible to women and minorities. In 2014, she launched Trailhead, a learning platform that now has more than 2.5 million users. Franklin has been at Salesforce for more than 13 years. She's also an advocate for diversifying STEM.
