Nairobi, Feb. 11 -- Absa Group has appointed Sitoyo Lopokoiyit to head its private and personal banking business unit across Africa, effective April 1, 2026.

Mr Lopokoiyit has been the chief executive officer of M-Pesa Africa and previously the chief financial officer at Safaricom, where he led the strategy and growth of Africa's largest fintech platform.
