India, Jan. 3 -- NTPC Limited-Western Region-IHeadquarters,Mumbaihas signedaMemorandum of Understanding (MoU)withthe Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI)forupgradation of radiotherapy services.

This initiativehas been taken under NTPC'sCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Under this project,NTPChas sanctioned Rs23.16crorefor upgradation of radiotherapy services atGCRI'sSiddhpur Satellite Centrein Ahmedabad.

This assistancewill be used for the purchase and installation ofthe High-Energy Linear Accelerator (LINAC),whichwill significantly enhance advanced cancer treatment capabilities and ensure better availability of quality radiotherapy services to patients in the region.
